One
Nite Stand makes Monday nights, in D.C., sizzle- rocking
their audience with a spicy mixture of smooth jazz, R& B,
Motown, pop, funk, go-go and reggae rhythms.
Heating up the
place with the wicked licks of his saxophone, is D.C.'s own
Walter Tates, Jr, the banging bass of
B.T. Richardson, the hot
strings of lead guitarist Tony Harrod,
the irresistible beat of "Biscuit",
on the drums. Audiences are inspired to move to the
tantalizing groove of One Nite Stand, with their Caribbean Dance Queen vocalist
Sista Pat. A guaranteed good
time is awaiting you each and every Monday night.
Tuesdays
-
BEN ANDREWS'
Delta Blues with HUGH FEELY!
Tuesday is becoming
one of our hottest weeknights with Ben Andrews'
Delta Blues (link).
If you've heard
him before you know his style is unmistakable. With a
microphone lying on the stage, Ben's boot is his
percussionist. Ben was the recipient London's "Blues
in Briton" award as the 2003 best overseas blues act.
Put him together
with harmonica virtuoso Hugh Feely
and there's a show not to miss!
On alternating Tuesdays...
Old Man Brown is based in the Baltimore area, playing
original Rock, Blues, Soul and Funk that honors earlier
traditions with respectful arrangements and the highest
standards of musicianship. OMB's repertoire includes an
enticing collection of original songs written by keyboardist
and singer Adam Scott-Wakefield
and his late brother, drummer John
Scott-Wakefield.
Wednesdays
