Madam's Organ has received a lot of both positive and controversial publicity...

Madam's Mural still under fire.

More about the MuralThe Madam's Organ Mural, an Adams Morgan landmark, finds herself under fire by those who basically don't like the large boobage.  Officially, it's been found to be a non-offensive work of art, so those who would try to change your world to their liking are attacking this from another angle, saying that the Mural is actually a sign, so it violates sign regulations.

So they're trying to get us to remove the text covering her "boob area".  This, of course, does nothing to accomplish their initial goal, and in fact would emphasize her healthy endowment.  See our artists rendering of how she'd look without the text, and read the famous Washington Post article here.

Ask us at the bar to see how you can help to support her boobs.

To Newhouse News ServiceIt seems we just can't stop getting noticed.  Newhouse News Service, in town for the inauguration, finds some time to visit the local bars.  We're not surprised to see they were drawn to Madam's.  Question is: Do you think George W. will make it to Madam's?  Anyway, thanks Newhouse.

Madam's Organ is discovered by Playboy Magazine.

To articleTo PlayboyWe were blown over when we heard from a customer who keeps abreast of Madam's news that we were mentioned in Playboy along with 24 other famous bars across the U.S. - the only one mentioned in DC!

Hey, we could get a big head about it, but don't worry, we still remember the little people...  and we still remember when we were a little hole-in-the-wall dive down the street before we became a bigger hole-in-the-wall dive.

Anyway, cheers to Playboy Magazine for plugging us as one of the 25 BEST BARS in America, and the #1 BEST in DC!  Come visit us at Madam's, see if you agree!

Madam's Organ is featured on E TV.

To Info about Brooke BurkeBrooke BurkeTV's Brooke Burke (ouch!) and her racy "Wild On" travel series has discovered Madam's Organ.  "Took long enough, Brooke!  ...and about that night on the third floor, sorry, I was just an animal that night..."

Anyway, check
out the "Wild on Dc" episode, and you'll see they make a pretty big deal out of us.  Of course there are a few other interesting things they mention about Dc too.  E TV can be found on cable and is a pretty neat station.  The Wild On travel series features cool travel spots world wide and usually dips deep into the areas most popular and exciting attractions.  Look for it on cable and try to catch the Wild on Dc episode.

If you can't seem to find this particular rotating episode, go to the web version, or better yet, check their schedule for Wild on Dc!

Top 20 bars in the US by Stuff Magazine.  Yeah, we got the stuff.

They say that lightning rarely strikes twice, but in this case, we got lucky.  Stuff Magazine's review of America's top 20 bars saw fit to include us in the lineup and we were tickled pink about it.  We figure we must have been really really good in a past life.

If you think you probably know what kind of magazine this is, you might be close, but no, it's not an x-rated one.  Go check out their site here.  Or check out snippets from the article here.

Murder plot.
No really, Hit Man comes to DC to off Bill Duggan.

Bill Duggan & friends.

It's a lot of work opening a bar in Adams Morgan, but if Madam's owner Bill Duggan knew he'd be the target for a Salvadorian arsonist/hit man, there might possibly be no Madam's Organ.

"This is not a game.  This woman was very specific.  She even went through the words the man is to say to you before he shoots you in the face."
